Boot to Windows XP Dos Prompt

There are times where we need to boot to Windows XP dos prompt. Unfortunately, booting to Windows XP dos prompt isn’t as easy as it was during Windows 95 or Windows 98 time.

Why? Because there is no real dos prompt for Windows XP! All we have in Windows XP is “Protected Mode” dos prompt. I hope the following steps on getting to Windows XP dos prompt will be useful to you all.

1. The easy way, or most users prefer this way. Press Start Menu -> Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt.

2. The quicker way. Press Start Menu -> Run -> Type “cmd” and enter. Either way will open a nice Windows XP command prompt.
